New Zealand Van Trip

I quit my job at Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and with some leave pay, drove a van around New Zealand for a couple of weeks with my friend Monique. You cant really go wrong with van life, or New Zealand for that matter. The Kepler track was amazing. We also went sky-diving. This trip gave me a taste of living in a van. For Monique it became too much by the end, but I felt like I was born to it. My friend Dan has fitted out his van with solar panels, a fold out bed, pantry, stovetop, removable sink, a small fan and dual batteries. When it is stationary, its as good as a home - If van life is for you.

                                                                    

This trip inspired me to go lighter and faster on hikes. Walking 30km per day on the Kepler Track did not effect my body as much as i thought it would.
