Tour got real hectic, real fast. I also got real sick. I may or may not have had swine flu. I may or may not have given it to Eric Stout. I may or may not have given it to the rest of the band. I’m still taking pictures, and still recording my thoughts and stories for a tour journal. It’s just a matter of having free time to post them and having internet to do so with.
Despite the fact that we are sick, sore, tired, sleep depraved, dirty and unshaven… I’m still having the best time of my life. It’s a blur of an adventure but being on the road is an amazing experience. This is the best and biggest tour I’ve ever been on and I’m so glad to be a part of it. The bands, the people and the fans are all amazing. It’s a blast every single night.
It’ll take a little while, but I’ll catch you guys up on everything that’s happened up to this point soon. Pinky swear.

This is Wren, the other pup. She’s really shy and was totally afraid of the camera. A total sweetheart, though. One of the sweeter dogs I’ve ever stayed with. I miss her already!

This is Sandy, one of two awesome pups at Tim’s place. She knocked over a lot of shit and ate Greg’s headphones, but she’s so freaking cute.

10:05pm. 10/04/09. St. Louis, MO.
You come to St. Louis for two reasons and two reasons only: to see the Arch and watch the Cardinals. Otherwise, this city could be nuked and wiped off the map and I don’t think anyone would care except Nelly.
We drove here through the afternoon from Chicago and checked into our supposedly four-start Hyatt room, a total disappointment. No microwave, no fridge, no pool. I’m convinced that there aren’t any attractive or young people in the city of St. Louis. We also happened to be in town for an Anheuser-Busch wholeseller’s convention, so everyone we came across was middle-aged and overweight. We thoroughly enjoyed the Arch, though. I can’t speak on behalf of the other guys in the band, but I rubbed my wang on it. I always wanted to do that. Mission accomplished.
The rest of our night was so boring that we showered and watched Titanic. Shut up, it’s a great movie. Regardless, it’s still really nice feeling that I can say I’ve been here and saw the Arch. It was an experience, despite the fact that we desperately ate at a Papa John’s and didn’t thrash our hotel room.
